Today we made a concept map about Australian animals. The whole chad so many ideas and knowledge about the different types of Australian animals. Animals, animals and more animals!

Year 2C is learning about Australian animals this term which is really exciting because there is a new zoo coming to town. The Sunshine Coast Zoo is dedicated to Australian animals and will showcase all types of animals including Koalas, Kangaroos, Snakes, Platypus, Emus, Echidna, wombats and even Crocodiles! We will be learning about animals habitats, characteristics/features, how zoos help animals survive and keep from being endangered. We have been asked by the Sunshine Coast Zoo to help them select a range of Australian animals and create a virtual manual of how to make a zoo. 2C will reflect on their learning and communicate to another school about their learning journey through this blog, throughout the unit.
